So, I've not had much of a relationship with running for the past 6 months and it's really shown in my health and fitness. I decided to take my health and fitness back. I won't lie, it was a struggle getting out of the door- I was even tempted to do housework before going! But I made myself get out of the chair, turned the TV off and put my trainers on. Set my fitbit away, pressed go on my C25K app, and the first song on my playlist- This is me! Between that and it's the final countdown on the last stretch home I knew I was doing the right thing. It was hard work. Very close and humid, high pollen (I'd taken my tablet but you could taste it in the air- on a side note I'm taking Tesco one a day hay-fever tablets and they are really working for me, and much cheaper too, I used to use the nasal sprays but started to get nosebleeds) and warm. It made the run more of a challenge but I did it. I ran for 8 minutes in total and walked the rest, some more power walking ...
Welcome to my blog and my 'big fat stupid goal' of improving my fitness. This is my online accountability diary, my place to discuss what works well for a chunky runner.
